MP3 Inspector is simple utility which allows you to get information about your MP3 files. You can edit ID3 tags and view information about the MP3 file. Development on the program has stopped due to the many free packages already available.

Cost

MP3 Inspector is currently freeware.

Limitations

• Currently only ID3v1.0 and ID3v1.1 tags are editable.
• ID3v2 tags are recognized, but not viewable.
• Support for recognizing only SoundApp, Quicktime, SoundJam, MacAmp/Lite, MPEGAudioPlayer files.

Future Plans

• Support for auto generating file names from tags
• Support for editing ID3v2 tags
• Support for translating between tag versions
• Support for editing lyrics (?)
