"Ugliest Grain Elevator In The World" Contest

First Prize Winner is in Springfield, Missouri

Several years ago, a religious group banded together to paint a mural on a grain elevator in Springfield. In case you can't figure it out, it's a Nativity Scene, dedicated "To The Glory Of God" (painted across the bottom of the mural). In addition, it features Michael Jackson (bottom, left).

Hereeeeee's Michael!

Now, the Messiah project is planning another painting on a grain elevator in Springfield, near our fantastic new baseball park, Hammons Field. This alleged work of art will feature the Ten Commandments. It's possible that it's going to be on the the other side of this year's winner of the Ugliest Grain Elevator In The World contest.

The goal of the Messiah Project for a Ten Commandments Mural:

"We are investigating the feasibility of either painting or building tablets with the Ten Commandments and placing them on the grain elevator at the corner of Chestnut Expressway and National so that they will be in full view of the Jordan Valley baseball park."

The question, dear Reader, is this: "Will the winner of next year's Ugliest Grain Elevator In The World contest again be located at the corner of Chestnut Expressway and National Avenue in Springfield?"

Stay tuned!
