Koh Lanta and the Lensbaby, January 2007
Just after Christmas we journeyed to the island of Koh Lanta. And with us came my Christmas present, a Lensbaby. The Lensbaby is a weird little lens that uses 'selective focusing' to give very abstract effects - or sometimes just plain out of focus! More practice required with this lens baby! |

Bangkok, Hua Hin and Chiang Mai, April 2005
In April, my Mum, Dad and brother Jamie visited Bangkok. We all spent a few days down in Hua Hin, before returning to Bangkok. As they left for the UK, we also departed for Chiang Mai to do some furniture shopping and to get very wet in the Songkran Festival. |

Australia, December 2004
In December we all journeyed south to spend Christmas in the land down under, with Sue, Fenge, Millie and Katie. A great time was had and the Canon worked overtime. Hence the fact that it has taken me sooooo long to put these photos on the site. Be warned, there are 96 of them, but there could have been 400! So please forgive the lack of captions. |

Bangkok, November 2004
Here are the first pics taken with the new camera, Canon EOS 300D. All taken in Bangkok. |
 |
Thong Pha Phum, October 2004
At half-term we decided to give the beach a miss and instead we hired a car and drove up country to the Kanchanaburi district. We stayed for one night in Kanchanaburi and then drove north to Thong Pha Phum where we stayed for three nights. In total we drove over 1300 km. Unlike this time a year ago, it never rained once - hooray! |

Ayutthaya and Chiang Mai, September 2004
The first weekend of September we travelled by train to the old Thai capital of Ayutthaya to see some Wats and Buddhas. Damned camera packed up just as we got to the really interesting Wats - still, that's an excuse to go back. For the second weekend we flew to Chiang Mai with Caroline, Andrew and Sam. We stayed in the beautiful Mae-Sa Valley Resort. We used Andrew's camera for these shots. Feeling very relaxed now! |

Back Home, July and August 2004
During our trip back home we visited family, friends and Helsinki. And the camera played up so not nearly as many photos as there should have been! |

Khao
Lak, March 2004
Sue, Fenge, Millie
and Katie travelled to Thailand from Australia,
so for the last week in March we journeyed down to Khao
Lak with them and stayed at Poseiden
Bungalows. |

Kanchanaburi,
January 2004
Just after New Year, we drove up to Kanchanburi
- about 3 hours north west of Bangkok and about 30km from
the Thai-Burmese border. We stayed for two nights on an
island in the middle of the River Kwai called Kasem
Island. We visited the famous bridge, the Commonwealth
War Cemetry and the Erawan Falls in the National Park. |

Krabi
and Koh Phi Phi, December 2003
We went down to West Hat Rai Lei for
four days and then onto Koh Phi Phi for another four days.
The beaches were amazing and we did a lot of snorkeling
- Jacob was in his element. Isabel and Lisa made a sand
mermaid on every beach we went to! |

Dolphin
Bay, December
2003
The King's Birthday gave us a long weekend
so we hired a car and drove down to a resort just south
of Hua Hin, together with Caroline, Andrew and Sam. On
the way we visited a temple called Phra Nakorn Khiri, and
once down there we visited the national park at Khoa Sam
Roi Yot and climbed up and down and up and down to get
to a cave complex - Tham Phraya
Nakhon. We also chilled a lot by the pool and on the beach. |

Lumpini
Park, November 2003
Lumpini Park is a huge park in the middle
of Bangkok. Most people go there early in the morning and
leave by 10.00 am as it gets too hot. There were people
jogging, dancing, walking, singing, playing games, taking
morning tea and just chilling. |

The
Beach
Living
in Chichester we had quick access to some beautiful beaches,
that Jacob and Isabel always loved regardless
of the time of year. Some photos were also taken whilst staying
with friends in Camelford, Cornwall. |

Amsterdam,
August 2002
Lisa and I travelled to Amsterdam sans
kids for three days. During our time there we visited just
about every museum and gallery there, met up with our friend
Emily Bates, feasted on chips and mayonaise and didn't
do anything illegal. |
