Laundry Day!

Julian-yatra devi dasi & Gauda work at it on Saturday morning. A bhaktin (what's her name?) helped a bit also.

Julian-yatra puts the dust of the Atma-Yoga studio on her head! She knows how to give and get the mercy! She washed and sunned all the yoga mats, pillows, cleaned, organized, etc, etc, etc... She even taught the first class ever in the new yoga studio (shhhh) to one of the asram mata's - Krisangi dd (spelling).

We're ready for class Atma.... Atma... where are you?
Can you believe it - you could fit 5 across and 4 vertical - that's twenty yogi's or twenty couples!

Do you really think those two little heaters will heat this place?

That's a small part of what Gauda did - ALL THE LAUNDRY - those boxes leaked! Yes, the bolster covers too. I won't bore you with all that I did. There is still a lot more to do - you will SEE as we go along...

4 days 4 coats

Atma and Gauda seal up the yoga floor for the teacher training this weekend!

Kirsten - a real angel, just happend to appear today to help Gauda finish the puddy and sand the floor.

Kirsten wants to take the teacher training in JAN but wanted to come by first and get to know the community, so Gauda gave her some prasada and put her to work! ... or was it she who put Gauda to work! Thank you Kirsten, your definitely a yoga angel!!

She is not afraid to get down and dirty, she's a rock climber so it's nothing for her.

Hey - I think we are going to go through a lot of sand paper today...

Now she's really fired up!

Ok, Gauda's turn... He's inspired now...

He's "smoking" now, whew!

Gotta do something with all that DUST - notice it's dark outside!

Finished for now - will probably need a little touch up here and there. Maybe even next week end we might finish the seal - that's if another "angel" shows up!

The rest of the tent goes up!

At 3:30 AM, Gauda wakes up and hears the rain drops and rushes out to save the floor by laying out the tent sides.

Then after the morning program Sri Leela and Margaret (from Brazil) help finish off the job.

We also test out the sander, with Ratna prabhu.

A "little" more progress... it's just now coming!

Angela comes in to putty the nail holes on Saturday. Leela sneaked in on Friday and finished more than half by herself (it would have been a beautiful picture!)

Sunday Evening - THE TENT! -

All glories to Ratna prabhu the "tent acarya" - he knew how to put it up without even any instructions... We put up the tent and one side wall this evening with the help of a few Sunday Feast guests/devotees. Can you believe it, IT is up - Haribol!

(note: the pictures import backwards, so go the the end and work your way up. And the vertical pics are stretched for some weird reason in this blog, in case you haven't noticed. Hopefully the text will line up with the pictures.)

Sunday Afternoon!

The 20' x 29' floor is finally finished!!! Thanks to the hard work of Gayo and Sebe, they worked straight through 7:00 to 5:00 on Saturday and 7:00 to 4:00 on Sunday (except for a little Maha Prasadam break). They are the best!

The wood is delivered and it's about to take shape! Saturday morning progress...

This is the birth of a new space for developing the Atma - body, mind and soul, the all new Yoga Mandir Pandal for performing Atma-Yoga accross the street from the Los Angeles Hare Krishna Temple, Govinda's Buffet, and The Bhagavad-gita Multi-media Museum.
