I don't know what happened, but


a few weeks ago, maybe a month, I got tired of dealing with the damn horrendous scheduler on DirecTV that was filling the DVR with every episode of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report on Monday, and I just deleted those shows. It turns out I don't miss either show and my view of the world is still as upbeat and optimistic as it ever was.

I traced the Colbert family tree back to Beckley, West Virginia


They changed the family name to hide their grizzly past. Seriously. I even have a statue of the Colberts to prove it.
