Vertical turf |
GRASSFELT is a mature soil-less grass growing in biodegradable felt especially designed to retain moisture as well as giving great strength. The resulting "living carpet" is extremely pliable allowing it to follow and make contact with unusual contours. Indoor and outdoor areas can be quickly and cleanly carpeted with real grass; even up walls using Grassfelt Wall. |

Vine Weevil - Natural Pest Control |
Vine Weevil causes damage in both its adult and larval stages, with the larvae causing the most lethal damage by destroying roots so severely that plants die. The first sign of this can be the plant wilting due to insufficient roots being left to support it. Vine Weevil will attack many plants both indoors and outdoors, from pot plants to trees and shrubs. Vine Weevil Killer is watered into the soil or compost and contains nematodes which seek out and kill the Vine Weevil larvae. The nematodes should be applied in spring and autumn to catch the larvae. Spring treatments should take place when the soil is over 5°C, which is usually around March, and the second treatment can take place from mid-August to October. Natural pest control products offer a safe and effective way of controlling pests for both edible and ornamental crops, without the use of toxic chemicals, making them ideal for the organic gardener. Treatments are suitable for use in both greenhouses and outdoors dependent on the pest and take the form of natural predators, parasites, bacteria or parasitic worms called nematodes, all of which occur naturally and are specific to the pests they are targeted against. Full instructions supplied with each treatment. |
