National Fruit Collections.

Brogdale is home to The National Fruit Collections - the largest collection of fruit trees and plants in the world. Over 2,111 different varieties of Apple, 522 of Pear, 337 of Plum, 320 of Cherry and smaller collections of bush fruits, nuts and vines are grown there in 150 acres of beautiful orchards. Self-guided walks, Gift Shop, Plant Centre, Tea Rooms are available 7 days a week between 10.00am and 4.30pm. Guided tours on foot around the fruit collections take place throughout the day from March to November, and last about an hour.
