Soil

Roses prefer acidic soil of pH 6.5 (sand) but will tolerate alkaline soils up to pH 7.5 (chalk). Mix 25 lts farmyard manure, or pulverized tree bark with bone meal, in soil before planting. Broadcast rose fertilizer in early Spring.

Tolerant of Poor Soils, so broadcast rose fertilizer in early summer as well.

Glossy Dark Green on a bushy plant.

Flower Colour in Season. Hips

Large, fully double, many-petalled flowers are in the old-fashioned style but with the modern colour of rich yellow with a deeper centre.

Flowering is Continuous throughout the summer. Very fragrant.

Comment

A very good variety.

Good for Hedging. Grow in pots.
