Soil

Roses prefer acidic soil of pH 6.5 (sand) but will tolerate alkaline soils up to pH 7.5 (chalk). Mix 25 lts farmyard manure, or pulverized tree bark with bone meal, in soil before planting. Broadcast rose fertilizer in early Spring.

Blush pink edged and flushed carmine flowers are large and reasonably full.

Flowering is Continuous throughout the summer. Very fragrant.

Comment

Branching growth and free flowering. A superb rose at its best but not easy to grow with strong healthy foliage.

Good for cutting. Grow in pots.
