Soil

Roses prefer acidic soil of pH 6.5 (sand) but will tolerate alkaline soils up to pH 7.5 (chalk). Mix 25 lts farmyard manure, or pulverized tree bark with bone meal, in soil before planting. Broadcast rose fertilizer in early Spring.

Mauve (Lilac Blue) with strong lemon fragrance. Still the best of the "blue" shades.

Flowering is Continuous throughout the summer. Very fragrant.

Upright and strong necked. Good for Exhibition.

Good for bedding or planting in groups. Good for cutting. Grow in pots.
