Roses prefer acidic soil of pH 6.5 (sand) but will tolerate alkaline soils up to pH 7.5 (chalk). Mix 25 lts farmyard manure, or pulverized tree bark with bone meal, in soil before planting. Broadcast rose fertilizer in early Spring. Tolerant of Poor Soils, so broadcast rose fertilizer in early summer as well. |

Flowers fully double, opening flat from tight, cupped buds and produced in large trusses. Colour varies with weather and perhaps the soil it grows in, from buff-yellow to almost apricot, at times paling to primrose. Strongly scented. Flowering is Continuous throughout the summer. Moderately fragrant. |
