Why do so few Hedging Plant nurseries who supply directly to garden owners in the UK and so few garden owners in the UK donate the use of their Hedging Plant photos of the flower, foliage, form or seed to this website? Where else can you compare plants by flower colour, foliage colour, form or seed/fruit shape/colour with their soil type, soil moisture, sun aspect and height?

Provides a living green backdrop to the flowers.

This hedge is about 6 feet high and can easily be pruned from the ground to a pruned height of about 5 feet. Shoulder height is the maximum height to prune a hedge to from the safety of the person pruning it.. It can then grow the next season and be cut back.

An informal hedge can be allowed to grow and then pruned hard when time allows. Leaving a formal hedge to grow untamed, will lead to an untidy garden.
