Compost heaps should not be built under conifers, because the turpentine substances retard proper fermentation. Do not build a compost heap on top of grass sod directly as this impedes fermentation. Dig out the sods and add them to the compost heap. The following table from reference 19 states the advantage of using the Biodynamic Preparations:- |
