Coblands Nurseries:-
Coblands Nurseries were founded in 1963 growing a wide range of shrubs, herbaceous, grasses, ferns and trees in the ‘coblands’ of Kent. The production nursery extends over 120 acres on a number of sites in and around Tonbridge, growing approximately a million plants at any one time.
www.best4plants.co.uk now brings this wealth of knowledge and expertise to the general public as well as the trade.

Website User Instructions

If a Plant Comparison Page or Wildlife on Plant Comparison Page has colour photographs of plants or wildlife on plants in it, then (o) is prefixed to that Comparison page title in the Navigation Box for that Section.

If you prefer not to see these photographs, then please admire the green background displayed in the other Comparison Pages!!!

Click on bamboo name below for photos and description in its Plant Description Page. Click on Back arrow to return to Site Map Page.

In order to compare bambooss by their attributes (cane colour, foliage colour, form, seed, or together with other plants), click on the appropriate attribute listed below the Site Map entry (the Comparison Pages are still under development, so some will have no photographic content and are therefore not listed in the Site Map). The text box below each thumbnail photo on each Comparison Page details the soil type, soil moisture, sun aspect, plant height and plant name.

You can obtain the Bamboo Description Page of a bamboo in addition to the Comparison Page by clicking on the thumbnail photo of that bamboo in that Comparison Page. Click on Red button to close Plant Description Page.

Why do so few Bamboo plant nurseries who supply directly to garden owners in the UK and so few garden owners in the UK donate the use of their Bamboo plant photos of the cane, foliage or form to this website? Where else can you compare plants by cane colour, foliage colour or form shape/colour with their soil type, soil moisture, sun aspect and height?
