Ellen Louise and Alice Kersley

Alice Kersley was born at Peter's Diggings in 1868. She died in 1888 from burns received after her dress caught fire. Alice is buried with her father, Thomas John, and Mary Burns in the St Arnaud cemetery. Ellen Louise Kersley was born at Stuart Mill near St Arnaud in Victoria in 1876. She married Hugh Smith in Sydney in 1902 and had six children: Gladys, Myrtle mary, Kathleen Maud, Cornelius Sheridan, Josehine mary and John Roy. Ellen died in Balmain in 1931.
