I think Rollei may have had more than 2000 complete sets of parts to 
assemble 2000 complete 2.8 F cameras. They still have some parts for 
the 2.8 F. I know of a number of repair people that bought tremendous 
amounts of parts (and specialized Rollei tools for repair) during the 
1981 bankruptcy because Rollei was offering them for a very cheap rate. 
I also know that Rollei was still selling tons of parts for the 2.8 F 
as late as 1985.
