Hi:
I'd try a machinist's shop. They could probably mount a nice knob onto a
regular bolt or screw to fit the grip.
I know how you feel. I just bought a Pentax 50mm lens from Cliff Travis All
Season Camera. It was listed as excellent condition, but came with a dented
filter ring, and weird dirt in the aperture and focus rings. At least the
glass is good, although it came dirty. I guess it's time to assume that
there will be problems with mail order, and hope for the best. A friend of
mine bought a Pelican case from B&H in NY last month, and it came without
the foam for the lid.
I've dealt with a place in Canada, however, called ALT Camera Exchange
Queen St., Toronto, ON, and their merchandise has always been better than
it sounded on the phone. Their number is 1-800-387-9891, and they have
Rollei stuff. I think they might be one of the few places I trust for used
gear, along with Ghitelman's in NY, and Calumet, for new items.
Bob
