Server disconnected error
You then click the Ok button and it opens the
file anyway. The trouble is if you accidentally miss the OK button and bring say
the navigator to the foremost window you can then have great difficulty
displaying the error dialogue as it is hidden by the front window and the only
way out is to force quit
ArchiCAD.There is solution using the
Terminal app here
but it didn't quite work for me as described
but it did create new Preference files with the same name but with the file
extension repeated. I removed my original files and replaced them with the new
ones and removed the extra .plist file extension and found that it now
works.So attached are the two
preference files which have been modified to get rid of the Server Error message
to replace the old preference files. The files are located in the User's Home
folder \ Library folder \
Preferences.Note these files will only
work with AC 9 International English version. If you are running another flavour
of ArchiCAD then you will need to follow the instructions using the Terminal
apphere
Note
Obviously do not delete your original pref
files just relocate them. Then if it
"all goes horribly
wrong" you can put the originals
back
