rhubarb-strawberry bavarian
this'll cool ya down, budd, have mrs. ian whip
this up:
rhubarb-strawberry
bavarian
3 cups coarsely chopped
rhubarb
1 cup orange
juice
1 (3 oz) package strawberry
jello
1/3 cup whipping
cream
3 Tablespoons sugar (I used an 8 oz pkg
(frozen) Coolwhip, with no extra
sugar)
Orange peel (optional - I did not use
it)
Combine rhubarb & OJ in saucepan;
cover & cook over med. heat 8 to 10 mins or till crisp-tender. Remove from
heat; add jello, stirring till gelatin dissolves. Set aside to
cool.
Beat whipping cream until foamy,
gradually add sugar, beating until soft peaks form. Fold into gelatin mixture
& spoon into dessert dishes; chill until firm. Garnish w/OJ peel, if
desired.
Yield: 6 to 8
servings.
P.S. I cooked it longer than 8 to
10 minutes and then I mashed the rhubarb after it had cooled and before I folded
in the Coolwhip.
