I was just coming to the top of a slight hill on the frontage road after the dombarton bridge.... I was just passing through the narrow passage when a mini-van started to pull in-front of me. I tried to stop but I was on lose gravel and couldn't maneuver because of the gate. Losing traction I slid on my left hip and knee and, hit my chin hard on the ground.... I didn't have any meror or any first aid supplies so I spend about 5 min washing off my face with my water bottle and checking my bike over. the sides of my gloves were quite soaked with blood and water from my chin when i got back on my bike.... I made really good time to the bart station and got an early train. after the train ride(dabbing my chin with my soaked gloves the hole way) I had another 2.5 miles home.

Once I got home i hopped in the shower and tried my best to clean my wounds. once i had them fairly clean I could see that it was a cut, not just a deep scrape.... it only took about 15 minuets to stitch up my chin, the rest of the time I spend waiting.

On my way home from work on Wednesday I crashed on my bike. I was just coming to the top of a slight hill on the frontage road after the dombarton bridge. The road is closed to cars part of the year. there is a gate across it and bikes have to go around. I was just passing through the narrow passage when a mini-van started to pull in-front of me. I tried to stop but I was on lose gravel and couldn't maneuver because of the gate. Losing traction I slid on my left hip and knee and, hit my chin hard on the ground. someone asked if i was ok, to which i replied yes but no one came over to have a look at me. I didn't have any meror or any first aid supplies so I spend about 5 min washing off my face with my water bottle and checking my bike over. the sides of my gloves were quite soaked with blood and water from my chin when i got back on my bike. I still had about 7 miles to the bart station. I made really good time to the bart station and got an early train. after the train ride(dabbing my chin with my soaked gloves the hole way) I had another 2.5 miles home.
Once I got home i hopped in the shower and tried my best to clean my wounds. once i had them fairly clean I could see that it was a cut, not just a deep scrape. I got dressed grabbed a magazine and drove myself to Kisar. I was at the ER from around 6:45 pm to almost 10 pm. it only took about 15 minuets to stitch up my chin, the rest of the time I spend waiting. I couldn't remember how long it was since my last tetnes so I got one. I have to have the stiches taken out in 5 days.
