broken wrist
I went down to the lake on Saturday morning and I
filmed while mom drove the launch.... I was almost there (after making a few
wrong turns [I have never ridden to the lake from our new house]) when I
crashed.... I was going along and looking around and when I wasn't looking E
12th started to curve to the left, the curb quickly came into contact this both
my wheels and before I knew how it happened I was stuck to the curb and crashing
onto the side walk.
my mom asked me to help her video one of her
rower last weekend. I went down to the lake on Saturday morning and I filmed
while mom drove the launch. It was fun. I got some really nice shots(that, of
corse was not the point but it what the heck.) So we looked at the footage on my
GL2 and Ian asked if I could dub it onto a VHS. I told him it wouldn't be a
problem and I would bring the VHS back to the lake on sunday morning. Soooo,
that is what I did. I got up on sunday morning and put on my bike clothes. I was
almost there (after making a few wrong turns [I have never ridden to the lake
from our new house]) when I crashed. It was a really stupid crash. The road
around the bottom of the lake curves to the right. well right before it
intersects with lakeside dr. E 12 gently curves to the left. I was going along
and looking around and when I wasn't looking E 12th started to curve to the
left, the curb quickly came into contact this both my wheels and before I knew
how it happened I was stuck to the curb and crashing onto the side walk. I took
most of the force wit my right hand and as a result I broke my wrist. I made it
the 1/8th of a mile to the boat house and handed off the tape. Laura came down
and picked me up in the 4runner. we went home and I got cleaned up took a
shower, had a snack, and then laura took me to the ER. The ER wasn't to bad. The
woman at reception was really nice and I think we were out of there in 2.5
hours. of corse this kinda put a crimp in our getting ready for our welcome home
sagra di beera. tomorrow (Thursday) I am going back to see the Orthopedics doc
to have a real cast put on. :(
