A nice time at Mom's


I had a very nice weekend at my mom's house.

I didn't leave for my mom's house until noon on Saturday. I was going to leave earlier but I got distracted by the butterflies.
Robin came down for a birthday dinner. She didn't trust her car to make it up the hill so she parked at the bottom and mom drove down to pick her up. We had some nice flavored rice with steamed kale. For dessert we had Soy Dream and mom made a wheat-less (mom doesn't eat wheat), dairy-less (none of us eat dairy, but robin really can't), brownie that I drew on with white icing. we took the dog for a short walk after dinner.
I got up around 8:15 on Sunday. mom was already off for her Sunday morning row. I brought my bike and was thinking of going for a ride but I didn't really feel like it. If I had gotten there on Friday I would probably felt like it by Sunday but since I hadn't, I didn't. I worked on my computer and walked around outside until around 11 when mom came home.
She bought a passion flower and a trumpet flower at the nursery on her way home. we went the the hardware store to get some supplies for trellises. We got there 5 mins before they closed and picked up an 8 foot 1X1 (for making the stakes on a trellis longer) and some u nails for attaching some old wire fence to the deck. we put the trellis up on the side of the house and planted the trumpet flower there. we planted the passion flower on the wire fence that we tacked to the deck. it was fun and i think they will be very pretty in a few months.
I spent the rest of the afternoon playing with my computer and hanging out. I went home around 5:30.
