My Aunt Dorothy from Marville Tennessee is soooo sweet!


This afternoon I talked to my fathers sister in Maryville Tennessee. She told me stories about my mother and father. It's so nice to have talked with her. She reminded me of Sally Fields in the movie Norma Rae. She is 80 years old and tough as nails. She had six children and many grandchildren. In case you haven't been following, my mom and dad were divorced when I was two and all mom's relatives had died young. It was just me and her.

I was raised as an only child and haven't seen or talked to any relatives for over 50 years. A few months ago I found my half brother's Jerry phone number back in Davenport, Iowa and called him. That was the beginning of discovering a huge wonderful family. Since dad married 5 times I have found that I have many brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles and more. Everyweek I get new pictures and talk with a new relative. Wow, what an adventure! I get to discover family! One moment no relatives to the next moment full of family! I love it!
