Gene, my husband, is a great Paper Mache artist!


This is a sculpture he created of Vincent Van Gogh. Notice the colors are the same than Vincent used in many of his paintings. This is one of my favorite pieces. To see more go to his web site: http://homepage.mac.com/freidaw/Personal8.html



The picture the bottom right has the face removed and shows the under structure that holds the mask onto the body. This way the face can be turned in many directions. He sure has his eyes down, huh?

Gene's Adventure of War in Korea


Gene was a Medic in Korea during the Korean war. He sure has lots of really interesting stories about this experience and tells them well. Today is Veterans Day and my way of saying thank you to my husband for risking his life and for being so kind to all those men bleeding and suffering that he took care of, was to give him a big kiss and tell him thank you! Our young men go to war from their mothers and fathers arms into a killing field and never complain. . . . .Also I'm putting together a movie of him with all his pictures he took over there. His experiences will be in his own words. My first try at a documentary look for it here first! Who knows we could go to Sundance after all!
