My Finished Ceramic Pieces!

Not too bad for my first attempts. What do you think? You know glazing is a mysterious art. When you put on the blue glaze, for example, it's gray color. It's not like you paint it the color it turns out. After firing it looks completely different. It's very weird and frustrating but fun! Here also is some photo's of the me as I put on the glaze. I'll show you the end results, next time when they take it out of the oven. Different methods were used. The big pots were coil built. Others were built by slab, pinched and poked, stepped on and kicked. Just kidding on the last three!

Hit READ MORE to see more pots. . .. .

Here's an attempt at a short little video. What am I, the teacher? Stop that! You need quicktime and a speaker to hear me.

I'll show you the after glaze look of this when it's done. The tree will be very dark, the gray part will be blue & white and the top and bottom will be a green color. I hope! No one ever knows. The glaze reacts with the clay and other glazes and turn out different than you expect. Look for it next week.
