Welcome to my web page! I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC. I received my Ph.D. from George Mason University, where I studied under Pete Boettke and Bryan Caplan, among others. My undergraduate degree is from Towson University in Towson, Maryland.

I live in Cullowhee with my wife, Beth, our
daughter, Lucy (b. November 2004), and our son, Christopher (b. July
2006) but I am originally from St.
Louis, Missouri. My favorite hobbies are motorcycling, cooking, home
brewing,
and golf. I am a lifelong fan of the St.
Louis Cardinals, and follow baseball more closely than any other
sport.
