Poems and Pizza for the Palate at Revelations upstairs, Saturday, November 15, 8:00 p.m.
Taking in some choice poetry combined with pizza and other mouthwatering morsels? Why not? We at the Candlelight Reading Series have done that before. Come on up to the yearly Poetry Social at Revelations Saturday, November 15. An off the beaten track poetry reading consisting of delightful poems all about food and the art of eating awaits you there! So, what about a bite of pizza between poems, eh? Revelations’ pizzas are known to be the best!
Your hosts Raven Garland and Freddy Niagara Fonseca have come up with a succulent selection of zany and charming poems dripping with food. After every five poems or so, they’ll regale you with something delicious to eat or drink such as slice of pizza, chocolate, hot cider, cheesecake, tea, all prepared by the Revelations staff. There’s even a real menu! Admission is $5 RSVP at the counter at Revelations, or $7 at the door. Please register early so we can get an idea how much to prepare.
In addition to this, there will be a food poetry contest for Fairfield writers. Send in ONE original poem about food by November 12 to freddypoetry@mac.com and if you win, you’ll be invited to come recite your poem and get in for free. See y’all on the 15th. Please come on time.
