PoetryPerforms celebrates the poetic impulse at the heart of all of the performing arts, combining them with performance poetry in inventive and uplifting ways.
With the exploration of world poetry in mind, Freddy Niagara Fonseca founded the Candlelight Reading Series in December 2004 to infuse greater vitality into the presentation of the well spoken word, broaden the scope of poetry at large, and connect cultures worldwide.
The series embraces the poetry of all peoples, styles and periods, providing monthly poetry events of ever varying themes.
