Moving In Dumpster Day and Hodgson House Clean-up
08/15/09 Bring your old room-mates mis-matched table lamp, unwanted furniture, boxes, whatever you don't want in your place and hang a little at the Episcopal Center. Make your plans now, the dumpster arrives on Friday Aug. 14 and leaves on Tuesday Aug. 18.

Open House - New Student Welcome
08/16/09 There'll be lots of free food and people to meet. If you want you can stick around or come back for a quiet night of prayers in the chapel with Evensong at 8:00pm.

Feast of St. Mary, the Virgin (tr.): Opening Convocation
08/19/09 Our first Wednesday Eucharist of Fall Semester is always a special occasion. Worship begins at 5:00pm in the Chapel of St. Mary, the Virgin. We'll have a guest preacher and/or a guest celebrant. Dinner on the lawn following the service.

Bible Study Groups Begin
09/01/09 This is Not Your Daddy's Bible Study! This Fall we’ll meet on every Tuesday night we can to focus on the Women of Hebrew Scripture. From Eve to Gomer, by way of the three R’s: Rachel, Rebecca and Ruth. a couple of D’s: Dinah and Deborah, to name a few. We'll use every resource we can and some you’ve never thought to use.

Inquirers' Classes / Confirmation Preparation: Inquiring Hearts and Discerning Minds
09/03/10 to 10/15/10 Quick and dirty lessons for anyone who wants to prepare for confirmation, reception, or reaffirmation at the Bishop's vivitation. Beginning the last Tuesday night in August and continuing through all the Thursday nights in September.

“Last Chance on Labor Day” Seersucker and Linen on the Lawn
09/07/09 Our first social of Fall Semester. We'll play croquet on the lawn and fill ourselves with cucumber sandwiches and lime punch. "Punch is served" immediately following the group photo at 7:00pm.

Diocese of Georgia Episcopal Election
09/12/10 We’ll visit Dublin’s Georgia’s Heart of Georgia Technical College, Dubose Porter Center to observe this important event in the life of our mother diocese.

Feast of St. Francis of Assisi - Blessing of the Beasts
10/07/09 Join us for this annual celebration. If you have a pet you can transport to the Chapel, please bring them along for this special liturgy which begins at 5:00pm. Our worship will conclude with Holy Eucharist. Following we will enjoy a meal in the center including doggie treats and other pet munchables.

Diocese of Atlanta - Young Adult Summit 2009
10/16/09 - 10/19/09 A GREAT weekend at cozy Camp Mikell full of seminars, workshops, worship, recreation and good food all geared toward building-up Young Adult Ministries in the Diocese of Atlanta and beyond. Sabbath Space: A Labyrinth for Meditation, Prayer and Reflection
TBD We will reserve Reception Hall in Tate Student Center's ground floor for three days so that anyone can use our very own Labyrinth for meditation, prayer or reflection. The room will be monitored in the evenings for assistance and safety. Our Labyrinth is painted on a 40' x 40' canvas in the pattern of Chartres Cathedral.

Province IV Fall College Conference
11/13/09 - 11/15/09 Theme: Balance in an Unbalanced World A bunch of us are headed to Alabama's Camp McDowell for the 36th annual gathering of Episcopal Campus Ministries in the Southeast. Program Leaders: Callie Plunkett-Brewton, Episcopal Chaplain at the University of North Alabama, and The Rev. Dr. Dan Thornton, Rector of St. Wilfrid’s, Marion, AL and Episcopal Chaplain to Marion Military Institute and Judson College. Additional Activities: Canoeing, hiking, napping, conversing, and, if you must, studying. Cost: $54 (Thanks to subsidies from the Diocese of Alabama and Province IV, we can keep it at this rock bottom price.) Registration: The Rev. A Service of Advent Lessons and Carols
12/06/09 Hosted by the Episcopal Center and held in St. Mary's Chapel this candlelight service is a wonderful seasonal offering shared with our friends from the Presbyterian (PCUSA), Lutheran (ECLA) and Christian (DOC) student ministries. Dinner will be served at the Presbyterian Student Center 1250 S. Lumpkin St. at 6:15pm. Start there and walk down the street for worship at 7:30pm. Download a flyer here.

Diocese of Georgia Annual Convention (Episcopal Ordination and Consecration)
01/21/10 - 01/23/10 We will attend the annual convention of the Diocese of Georgia in Savanah. The host hotel(TBA) is next to where we'll meet so we'll be staying there or in the homes of students with families nearby. In the past we've been allowed to register a few with seat and voice at the meeting and we've maintained a booth in the exhibit hall as well. The more, the merrier!

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper
02/16/10 Meet us at the Presbyterian Student Center (1250 S. Lumpkin St.) at 6:30 pm for All-You-Can-Eat Pancakes, Bacon, Sausage, Juice and Coffee.

Campus-Wide Ash Wednesday Services
02/17/10 The Episcopal Prayer Book service of the Imposition of Ashes will be observed at 7:00 am, 12:30 pm and 5:00 pm in St. Mary's Chapel of the Episcopal Center @ UGA, 980 S. Lumpkin St. Holy Communion concludes the 5:00pm service.

Dioceses of Atlanta/Georgia: Vocare #19
TBD A weekend retreat for all the campus ministries and young adults in the dioceses of Atlanta and Georgia! Vocare is a chance to be with your peers and "get away from it all" to talk about Jesus. Baptism, Confirmation, Reception and Reaffirmation

Spring Work Day
03/20/10 Before the studies get really crazy and after the weather warms a little, we’ll make our semi-annual assault on the Hodgson House and Chapel exteriors. 04/28/10 Our last BIG Wednesday before Reading Day, Bacalaureate is the context for recognizing our graduates. The procession will begin at 5:00pm. Following the service there will be a reception on the lawn.
