Race 1 Richard Lloyd pipped Stuart Graham for pole by 0.4s in the Southern Organs event for the two larger Gp1 classes. Lloyd got the power down well and led into Copse, but Graham's getaway was not so good and for a few hundred yards he was confronted by the boot of Vince Woodman's Camaro. Once past he quickly reeled Lloyd in, taking the lead from the Simoniz car at Maggots on lap two. Lloyd hung onto Graham's tail, making for a good race, but on lap six Lloyd pitted when his alternator warning light switched on. He rejoined, but by now was nearly last, apparently out of it. |
