On Saturday, Steyr-driver Rödleithner took the lead in the combined 700/850 Group 2 race - but soon the rain set in and the horsepower of the 850 Abarth of Schulz paid off in a victory. The 1000 cc Group 2 cars were accompanied by the 1300 cc Group 1 cars, of which Liesong (Renault Gordini) was able to match the speed of the front-runners. But Ernst (Abarth) won.
Heiden’s Simca stayed in one piece for once, and he won his class, while the wet track suited the NSU’s far better in the 1300 cc class; Bischoff won, the first Alfa home was Bertrams in fourth.
Klauke won the GT race in a Porsche.
