A vast entry of Commodores from Steinmetz and Irmscher promised an entertaining race. Young Stuck took pole-position in a time not too far from a contemporary Capri - and this without the crossflow head powering the Ragnotti and Brasta cars. The odd Kadett or GT spiced things further up. Alas, a mass carambolage in the first lap left Mineif in the lead - a little while only, until his bonnet smashed the front window. Tuerlinx had to give up too, handing the lead to Stuck, who won, Ragnotti second, Brasta third. Schüler came in 4th overall, claiming the GT win.

Sunday's race was won by Mirsch in a Manta, after Klotzek was disqualified for technical infringements.
