During his last visit to Strasburg in 2005, Ringu Tulku
agreed that Djangtchoub Samten Gomdra would organise every
year a summer retreat guided by Rinpoché. During these
retreats Rinpoche will teach not only Dharma in general but
also some specific practices allowing each of us to
practise and meditate during the year according to his
indications.
The detailed program will be available later.
The 2006 retreat will take place in Baerenthal (France)
from 14 to 20 August. The location is magnificent, under
the protection of UNESCO, in the Zinsel valley in the
national park of the Northern Vosges. It is easily
accessible from France, Belgium, Germany, Luxemburg and
Switzerland.
The retreat will take place in the Youth centre, which
offers accommodation in cabins (12 people) and bungalows (8
people).
In accordance with Rinpoche's wishes, spouses, partners and
children will be welcome to stay at the retreat site.
Activities will be organised for accompanying people as
well as for participants, not only discussion and
meditation groups, but also Yoga, Tai Chi, and dance
classes, as well as activities for children. These
activities will be led by retreat participants who will
share with us their knowledge and experience. Those who
would like to share their skills are invited to contact us
so we can establish the list of activities. There are also
various other facilities available locally, such as
swimming, hiking, and riding.
The number of places is limited and the retreat is open to
all Rinpoche's students.
