The Friday Movie returns in October

After a brief "vacation" in September, the Friday Movie returns in October.

Showtimes are most Fridays at 6 pm in the Talent Library Community Room.

Tai Chi for Seniors

Join us for a 12-week series in Tai Chi Movement for Better Balance. This course is designed for those 60 years and older, but all adults are welcome.

Mondays and Wednesdays 3:30 - 4:30 pm starting September 29th. Pre-registration and 12-week commitment required.

Donations accepted but not required. Sign up early at the Talent Library -- class size limited to 25.

Community Tea

Everyone is invited to a Community Tea, Saturday October 18, from 3 to 5 pm in the Talent Library Community Room.

Sponsored by Friends of the Talent Library. We look forward to seeing you there!

After-school Storytime & Snacks

Our popular program returns on a new day. Every Thursday at 3:30 pm, starting October 2 and running through May 28: After-School Storytime and Snacks in the Talent Library.

A wholesome snack for children K through 4th grade will be served in the Community Meeting Room, followed by stories.

Stories are geared to elementary school children, but younger children accompanied by parent are welcome.

Scrabble & board games on Saturday afternoons

Join your friends and neighbors for a friendly game of Scrabble® and other board games.

The fun runs each Saturday from 2 to 4 pm in our Library's Community Meeting Room.

Bring your board and a dictionary. We hope to see you there!

Friends need Friends: Come Join Us!

Welcome to the Friends of the Talent Library web page. We are a group of volunteers dedicated to the support, assistance, and promotion of our local library.

The Talent Friends group provides financial support for the Summer Reading and Storytime programs, provides volunteers to aid the library staff, and maintains the glass display cases.

Our recent Capital Campaign raised a third of million dollars to increase the patron and book space in the new Talent Branch Library by over 1400 square feet. Click to read more about the highlights of the Capital Campaign.

Our current priorities are to keep our County library system open -- and to support and expand the programs and activities available at the Talent Library.

Monthly meetings are open to all. Bring your ideas and energy. We guarantee you a warm reception.

Meetings are held at in the Community Meeting Room of the Talent Library on the fourth Friday of each month at 10:00 am. For further information contact Betty Smith at 535-4246.

There's never been a better time to join and show our community's support for our new Talent Library!  Membership Application.
