Friends need Friends: Come Join Us!

Welcome to the Friends of Talent Library web page. We are a group of volunteers dedicated to the support, assistance, and promotion of our local library.

The Talent Friends gives extensive financial support to the Summer Reading and Storytime programs, provides volunteers to aid the library staff, maintains the glass display cases, sponsors a number of free programs and Friday movies throughout the year, and funds the acquisition of additional books, magazines, and DVDs for our Talent Library.

Our successful Capital Campaign raised a third of million dollars, increasing the patron and book space in the new Talent Branch Library by over 1400 square feet. Click to read more about the highlights of the Capital Campaign.

Current priorities are to maintain open hours at the Talent Library -- and to support and expand the programs, activities, and collection available at the Talent Library.

Date and time of Board Meetings -

Board Meetings are held at the Talent Library on the fourth Friday of the month at 1:30 pm -- unless otherwise posted here. Please note there will be no board meeting in June, July, and December 2012. Our current Board list.

Our meetings are open to all. Bring your ideas and energy. We guarantee you a warm reception.

There's never been a better time to join and show our community's support for our new Talent Library! Membership Application.

What's in a name?   TalentFriends.org

For the past ten years, Apple has hosted the Talent Friends website, under the URL homepage.mac.com/fotl . Apple will no longer be providing webhosting services after June 2012, so we have taken this opportunity to move our site to its own new domain: TalentFriends.org .

In our choice of domain name, we are following the example of the Friends of the the Ashland Public Library - AshlandFriends.org - and the Talent Chamber of Commerce - TalentChamber.org .

Our new hosting provider is Dreamhost.com, which generously provides this service to domestic 501(c)(3) non-profits at no charge.
