Smart Shoes
Could technology create a "smart
shoe"?
Could technology create a "smart
shoe"?
I think the answer is definitely
"yes". Think about it. The shoe is an environment. It is monotonous and subject
the foot to stress. What about a shoe that signals when the foot (and therefore
the body) has reached a level that is harmful. It could measure blood flow,
galvanic skin response or some other biomarker. When levels reach an
unacceptable level some type of alarm would go off. (Maybe some thing like a
vibration or such which would not attract attention.) Getting off your shoes or
putting up your feet would reverse the level of stress.
What would be really cool is a shoe
that took action if levels were too high. The smart shoe could adjust
temperature or set off some type of stimulation to relieve
stress.
So now is your chance to invent
something really different. Use your imagination!!!
