Turning Point for drug users

Turning Point offers addicts from Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead, a 12 week rolling programme of group therapy combined with acupuncture and reflexology, to fill the void which can be left when drug use stops.

Reflexology and acupuncture held every week can ease the cravings of recovering addicts, while poetry writing, painting and creating murals in the Rotunda garden can all help with increasing self-esteem and the expression of emotions.

"Those who have used for a long period of time find emotions difficult to deal with as drugs have blocked them out," Sasha added. "Drug users have had a tough past and working on their issues helps them stay off drugs.

"We are seeing good results. One man was talking about how he was not getting up till 4pm and had no energy.

"He is now able to play with his children. We have helped not just one person but a family."
