Mage the Awakening News #3

All the paths revealed!

The rest of the paths as reported on white-wolf.com were added to the same page as the second news report. Tuesday (after the Memorial Day holiday) supposedly more will be posted, but I'll also be sure to review it here.

Like the Acanthus path posted about first, the Mastigos sounds like a rude cross-breeding of the Akashics and Euthanatos. Strange, given that the two Traditions warred in WoD 1.0 in times past. These Mind mages are most certainly dark enough to be Euthanatos, however, as they 'learn from the sins of mortals' (paraphrased from the above referenced page.)

Next comes Moros, which are the 'misunderstood' mages who deal and understand death. They better have a better definition of the path in the source book, that's all I have to say, because right now it's way to out there from WoD 1.0 for me to easily grasp. Making death its own sphere just doesn't sit well with me.

Or are they even using the same old magic system?

They better...

Moving on Obrimos sounds like a bunch of Celestial Choristers who decided they got bored with the always misunderstood Prime sphere and decided to claim their right to Forces. If you read differently, certainly make comment.

Thyrsus simply wraps the Cult of Ecstacy in a new wrapper. That's it. I wish I could say more, but there doesn't appear to be anything original about them at the moment.

Let's just hope that the factions allow for groups such as the Virtual Adepts. Right now, I'm highly disappointed.
