Biography As the founder of Firebowl Records International and 16-year voting member of the Recording Academy, Phoenix Benjamin is a world renowned, award-winning artist. After picking up the guitar at the age of 14 and teaching himself how to play, Phoenix's music has crossed several formats including Rock, Outlaw Rock, Outlaw Country, Country, Spiritual, as well as Southern and top 40 formats. He has worked with Michael "Denis" Freda from the Dovells, David Shankle of DSG 7 & MANOWAR, TASH from the Alcoholiks, Clarence Reid and Joey Welz, Rock and Roll hall of Famer from Bill Haley & the Comets and others. Phoenix has been compared to the writing styles of Johnny Cash and Jim Morrison, Phoenix's singles, "Good Man," "Secret" and Country Girl" blend passionate lyrics with ground-breaking guitar-led melodies. As a member of ASCAP and the American Federation of Musicians, Phoenix is dedicated to the Stop the Violence Campaign as one of its original founders and donating 100% of the proceeds from “Best I Can” to the Amber Alert Campaign.
