Wet, wet, wet...

Strong winds and very heavy rain saw river levels reach their highest for some time, with considerable localised flooding.


The river was very high at Dulverton...

The lights from The Bridge pub looked rather inviting...
At Hele Bridge, the water poured across the road.
This is the bridge at Tarr Steps - under water.
The two rivers at Watersmeet were both torrents.
The river roared down towards Lynmouth.
The flow over the waterfall was dramatic.
My mother loved it!
It is hard to show the speed of the flow in a photo.
And you are missing the roar and rumble of the torrent.
It was all rather wild and beautiful.
You could feel the vibration through the rocks.
But after the rain, the rainbow...
