Thank You, Mike Davis

It was announced officially today that Mike Davis is leaving fingerprint inc. to take a new position with JR Motorsports. It is a great opportunity for Mike and his family and I wish him the very best. We will continue to work together as a part of the bigger team that is Budweiser Racing / DEI / JR Motorsports. I want to publicly thank Mike for three fine seasons.

What does this mean for the fans and media? The goal is to have very few publicly visible changes in the transition.

--- I will be back on the road (just like the olden days) for all 38 events. For the media, I will once again be the primary contact for interview requests and media information for Dale Jr. and the No. 8 Budweiser team.

-- Our team coverage of each event will change slightly. You will still see very similar comprehensive race reports and previews for each event - but due almost exclusively to travel schedules - the post-race reports will occasionally show up later than usual. Especially for west coast events, I may be posting them at some odd early-A.M. hours on the east coast, as soon as possible after returning from the event.

-- The podcasts are expected to continue, but again primarily due to time and travel constraints, they will most likely be posted online as a mid-week treat rather than shortly after the checkered flag. Maybe it will be a nice pick-me-up during the week. You know, something to look forward to on hump-day.

---Mike's blog will remain on the fingerprint site for a short time. (Depending Mike's decision, it could re-appear at another address on the web).

Feel free to add your comments on Mike's blog page...
