"I haven't slept for 10 days... because that would be too long..."
"my friend asked me if I wanted a frozen banana. I said 'no,', but I wanted a regular banana later, so.... 'yeah...'"
"I wanna be a racecar passenger. Just the guy that bugs the driver. 'Say man, can I turn on the radio?'... 'You should slow down..' 'Why we gotta keep goin' in circles?' "Can I put my feet out the window?' 'Man, you really like Tide...' "
"I wrote a script. A guy read my script and said he liked it, but I needed to rewrite it. Fuck that, I'll just make a copy..."
"I'm sick o' followin' my dreams, man. I'm just gonna ask where they're goin' and hook-up with 'em later...." -- the late, great comedian Mitch Hedberg
It's almost impossible for the written word to do justice to the strange, halting speech patterns of the late comedian Mitch Hedberg. His skewered view of a world full of snack food, koala bears, and hotels was bizarre and hilarious...
See links about Mitch here, here, or here: "Hedberg Was Supposed to be the Next Seinfeld..."
Check out his two excellent CDs: Strategic Grill Location
and Mitch All Together
One more: "If you're watching a parade, make sure you stand in one spot. Don't follow it: it never changes. If the parade is boring, run in the opposite direction. You will fast-forward the parade."

Though the magazine has taken responsibility and apologized for their brief mention of Koran destruction, how does the White House have the guts to ask Newsweek to 'do more"!? The Pentagon originally approved the story, but has seemingly now retracted on pressure from the White House. I don't recall a single apology out of the White House....
Read the transcript of Bill Moyer's speech to the National Conference on Media Reform. It is required reading for anyone interested in journalism.
Why must we rely upon a Brit to publicly challenge the Senate leaders for corruption? It's a very compelling speech... The U.N. Oil-for-Food scandal? Looks like our own government laundered more than all of the other countries combined... (The US Senate subcommitte's report shows the US with a hand in 52% of the proceeds in the scandal...)
Frist at the 600: Perhaps this is my chance to offer him some glasses to correct his extreme short-sightedness. This is a sure sign he's running for prez in '08... Otherwise, wouldn't he actually remain in DC trying to destroy Senate rules? Read Frist on the Brink...
Our lesson for today: don't drink and drive.
