I've been saying for years that NASCAR should allot all funds from penalties to charity instead of going back into the points fund. Today, they announced that change - as all money collected for penalties and fines will now go to the NASCAR Foundation, which donates to a variety of charitable causes.
In addition, I support their decision to allow all non-top-35 entrants to qualify together at the end of each qualifying session. This levels the field and makes it more equitable among those teams clawing to get into the show.
