The trailer is out for Will Farrell's Talladega Nights. From the same bunch that brought you "Anchorman," this NASCAR-based film includes Dale Jr., who filmed several segements with Farrell at Lowe's Motor Speedway last October. If the trailer is an indicator, it looks like it will be hilarious. (I won't be a spoiler by listing my fave bits in the preview.) In addition to Farrell, the cast includes Sasha Baron Cohen (better known as Ali G and Borat) as a gay, French Formula One driver who comes to the States to challenge Farrell's Ricky Bobby character at the top of the stock car heap.
You can also check out the Ricky Bobby site for some hilarious pics, games, decals, and a talking Ricky Bobby bobblehead doll. |

| GIRL POWER: Robby is not the only Gordon that has had some racing success lately. Even though his strong runs (especially at Atlanta and Texas) have been hampered by bad luck, Robby's sisters Beccy and Robyn won their first race last weekend with their brand new All-American Girl Racing team. AAGR is comprised of an all-female crew and driver team, including the Gordon sisters, who seem to have taken after their father, known as "Baja Bob" Gordon and their brother. Robyn remains the only female with an overall victory at the Baja 1000, and the team's debut race last weekend ended in victory at the Buffalo Bill's 400 at Primm, Nevada. I'm no expert on off-road racing, but we'll try to keep you informed about the AAGR team. |
