The Safety Issue.

Kudos to Bill Elliott, who has some strong thoughts about NASCAR safety in an excerpt from his new book. It echoes some nightmares Dale Jr. has experienced at the hands of wanna-be-EMTs. Check out Awesome Bill here. This is yet another cry that if NASCAR truly has a safety-first attitude (rather than "we don't want the liability"), they absolutely need a professional, full-time medical and safety crew like the CART/Champ Car model that has saved a number of lives through the years (most dramatically Alex Zanardi). Read more about Dr's Steve Olvey and Terry Trammell: here or check out Olvey's new book, Rapid Response.
