The rise of Islamic fundamentalism and Islamic terrorism
has raised everyone’s awareness of this religion. The
mantra repeated by Western leaders is that the terrorists
are perverting the teachings of Islam. I am not a Muslim,
but I am a student of history. That is pretty much all that
I read for pleasure. I have a relatively thorough
historical understand of the history of Muhammad and Islam.
That understanding has led me to the preliminary conclusion
that the West’s politically correct understanding of Islam
is not factually correct, and in fact, the extremists are
the more devote followers of the teachings of Muhammad and
Islam. However, before I made a conclusion damning an
entire major world religion as the primary cause of the
majority of the problems facing the world in the
21st
century,
I thought it only fair that I read the Koran – the very
words of Allah, as delivered to Muhammad by the angel
Gabriel. Unfortunately, I do not read Arabic. So, I had to
rely on translations. Luckily, I was able to find an
Internet site that provided three concurrent and
independent translations to each paragraph of the Koran.
It is very repetitive. This leads me to believe that
Muhammad was illiterate. I got the sense that he would get
on a roll and start grabbing stock phrases to keep the
words flowing out of his mouth – similar to Homer and other
oral traditions later set down in writing. He seems to
borrow from other religions of which he only has a naïve
understanding. The Koran is clearly the ramblings of a
madman – the medieval equivalent of L. Ron Hubbard. He
seems to have the answer to every problem big or small, but
all answers always enhanced Muhammad’s wealth and power.
The fact that a major portion of the world, to this day,
believes that this is the inspired word of God is truly
frightening. After a thorough investigation, it is no
surprise to me that the adherents of this religion have
created so much misery, hate, death, destruction and
terrorism. Islam is an evil ideology and if I were a
Christian, I would be convinced that Islam was the work of
the devil.
Here are some of Muhammad’s greatest hits, linked to three
translations so that you can tell that Allah’s true meaning
was not somehow lost in the course of my abridging his
work:

Polygamy is fine. You can practically
marry any woman, except immediate relatives. Cousins are
okay. You cannot marry any woman who nursed you as a
child, nor the children of one of your wives (unless you
haven’t had sex with her). Then it is okay to marry one
of your wives’ children. You cannot marry your son’s
wife nor two sisters at the same time.

You cannot marry a woman already
married, unless she is your captive. Then you can marry
her!
•
If a woman misbehaves, admonish her
first, then withhold sex, then beat her
lightly.

I guess this is the nonsense about
virgins waiting for you in heaven. (I like to think
Muhammad had it wrong and he meant to say there will be
72 pissed off Virginian ready to kick your
ass!)

On tolerance of other religions and
faiths – kill them wherever you find
them
•
Allah gives Muslins a license to
kill
•
If a Muslin kills another Muslin he has
to free a Muslin slave – or fast for two months if he
cannot afford to free the slave.
•
Allah prefers jihadists to responsible
fathers
•
Allah instructs his followers to give
his enemies no rest, keep
attacking.
•
More on religious toleration – do not
befriend them
•
Those moderate Muslims who may want to
relax some of the obviously insane instructions found in
the Koran are infidels and Allah has a humiliating
punishment in store for them.

For those who do not believe in Allah
and Muhammad, we will blow you up with
explosives.
•
The sick, crippled or blind do not have
to go to jihad, but everyone else must fight or be
punished with a grievous penalty.

Allah loves
jihadists
•
Allah is a terrorist and condones the
beheading of nonbelievers – and cutting off their
fingers
•
You can steal while on Jihad so long as
you give 20% protection money to Muhammad.
•
Once again, Allah condones the use of
terrorism, even against strangers (don’t worry Allah
knows they are evil). If you use your own bomb making
materials, ye shall be repaid by
Allah.
•
Muhammad should not enslave a people
until after he has pillaged and conquered their
territory.
