What's your Alias?
Review of the TV show Alias
To begin with, TV is bad. Nothing being produced
today can hold a candle to even the most poorly produced puppet show from the
golden age of your memory. Those truths aside,
Alias
A current TV series is not half
bad.
The following run-on sentence will
fill you in on the premise of the show without revealing details that would
lessen the experience for you: This spy show takes some key elements from the
archetype of the genre such as whiz-bang technology and dark cornered meetings
arranged by ski-masked genderless commandos with voice distortion machinery but
combines those classic features with an array of current stylistic choices in
music, production value, and cinematography resulting in a fast-paced action spy
series with a gripping story and cardboard yet colorful characters.
So, I like it but I have been watching
the DVDs, and I wouldn't find it worthwhile if I had to endure commercials.
