Welcome New Inductees!

Congratulations to the 2006-2007 new members! NHS is committed to excellence in service, leadership, character, and scholarship, and to ensure that all NHS members continue to strive toward these goals we have the following requirements:

- Attendance at regularly scheduled meetings (the third Wednesday of each month [Feb. 21 is the next]).

- Participation in the volunteer experience both as an NHS group (tutoring, the Memorial Garden, UNICEF drive, bell ringing, habitat for humanity, and other things you are interested in doing) and as an individual.

- You need to keep track of the time you volunteer because to be considered as an active member at the end of the first year you need to have at least 32 hours, 12 of those being NHS hours, and by the end of your second year you need to have at least 40 hours, and again having 12 of those NHS hours. To download a copy of a pre-made form to keep track of your hours, click here.

- You need to pay a $5.00 yearly NHS fee to help support us. The due date will be established at the first official Junior and Senior meeting.

- You also need to maintain at least a 3.75 GPA to be considered an active member.

- Finally, NHS wants to help you grow and develop as a person, a leader, and a NHS member. So please take part in the NHS leadership activities.
