Humpty Dumpty
The Park Theater Company Class performed their annual Children's Theater Production. This year they performed Humpty-Dumpty Is Missing or The Mysterious Case of the Fallen Egg. A hilarious spoof of the 1940's and 1950's private-eye thrillers. It is written by the award winning Joseph Robinette, who's credits include stage adaptations of The Fabulous Fable Factory, Charlotte's Web, Stuart Little, and many others.
Sammy Scoop, grandson of Samuel Shovel, and son of Sam Spade sets out to solve the case of the missing pieces of egg of Humpty-Dumpty after his "great fall". Along the way he encounters an unusual set of suspects, who had motive and opportunity. They include: Rip Van Winkle, Henny Penny, Peter Rabbit and his sisters, and Rapunzel and the Handsome Prince (who, because he is a painter, wants to be known as the Artist formerly known as the Handsome Prince). A clever and witty script filled with word play was a must see show.
The show date was Thursday, November 16, at 7:30 p.m., in the Park Theater.
