The Faces of Montbéliard

As much as I wanted to take portraits of people, I had a fear of not succeeding! I used to take photos of people when they were next to something that had an effect on them and that they had an effect on.
But this time, I tried to just take photos of people without them being next to something historical or beautiful. Just people, and their façade.

Bienvenue à ...
One day before Carnaval.
La Brasserie du Théatre à Montbéliard! :o)
It is a custom to wear this kind of dress and a mask on this day! I enjoyed taking her photo. I believe any photographer would understand why!
Loïc, the bartender at my favorite café. I like to go to his café. It’s an intimate place.
Carnaval in Montbéliard...
She enjoyed every second of that day. Laughing and throwing confetti on the people!
Beautiful girl on the shoulder of her father...
It was such a nice day, and everyone was trying to take a nice photos!
Among those who were in the Carnaval. Sometimes I found interesting people like this one!
One of my favorite photos...
I don’t know what I liked about her: her pretty and innocent face, or that lovely flower on her cheek?
Look at his image in the photographer’s camera! How serious he is! Already a man, just in the body of little boy. ;o)
Both mother and daughter trying to help
each other get rid of the confetti after Carnaval ended!
Children trying to gather the confetti from the ground in order to throw them at other people!
Délia is my Romanian friend. She is very nice girl. I told her to stop so that I could take her photo! ;o)
Festival de Nez Rouge or FestIval of Red Noses!
There were a lot of clowns in town trying to put smiles on the faces of children! It seems this clown didn’t succeed with this little girl!
When I arrived here, I was kind of interested to know how children here entertain themselves. After some time, I got my answer!
In the winter they have a Christmas market, and in the summers there are all these festival, which really amazed me!
Soireé Electro chez Loïc!
Festival de Rose Bleu!
Strange name for a festival, but it was really about blue roses. I han’t see a blue rose before this day!
From all the girls whose photos I took, this was my favorite! She was sitting there with her mother, and pretending to listen to the storyteller...
...who was telling the story of rose! But, in fact, she was more curious about me and my camera. She was a very cute model for me, with her expressions!
Fête de la Musique, 21 Juin.
You can hear the music from anywhere in town!
I have more artistic photos than this one, but I put this up because I always see her walking in the street with
her dog, making her a recognizable face of Montbéliard
Isn’t it beautiful??
I love Montbéliard at night, especially when people gather for different events!
